Refund policy

Digital Products – Returns, Cancellations and Refunds

All products sold by TreeHouse Patterns are digital downloads. No physical item will be shipped.

Because digital products can be supplied immediately after purchase, they cannot be returned in the same way as physical goods.

We do not normally offer discretionary refunds, exchanges or cancellations simply because a customer has changed their mind after the digital content has been supplied, accessed or downloaded, except where required by applicable consumer law.

Immediate access to digital content

Where you request or agree to immediate access to digital content before the end of any applicable statutory cancellation or withdrawal period, any loss of your right to cancel will apply only where the legal requirements for your prior express consent and acknowledgement have been satisfied.

Where applicable, you may be asked to expressly consent to the digital content being supplied immediately and to acknowledge that your statutory right to cancel may be lost once supply of the digital content begins.

If the legally required consent or acknowledgement has not been obtained, your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Problems with your digital files

If there is a problem with your purchase, please contact us.

This includes situations where:

a file is corrupted or cannot be opened;
a file included in the product description is missing;
an incorrect file has been supplied;
the supplied digital content does not match the product description;
there is another technical problem with the files supplied by us.

We will first make reasonable efforts to resolve the problem, which may include providing a replacement or corrected file.

Where applicable consumer law gives you additional rights, including a price reduction or refund, those rights will not be restricted by this policy.

Refunds required by law

A refund may be issued where required by applicable consumer law, including where we are unable to supply the digital product purchased or where an applicable statutory remedy requires a refund.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Before purchasing

Please review the individual product description carefully before placing your order.

Product listings may contain important information including:

file formats;
pattern dimensions;
paper sizes;
printing requirements;
recommended leather thickness and materials;
required hardware;
software requirements;
equipment requirements;
skill level;
included instructions or supporting files.

Customers are responsible for checking that the stated file formats, software requirements and equipment are suitable for their intended use before purchasing.

Digital pattern licence

Purchasing a digital pattern does not transfer copyright or ownership of the pattern or design.

Your use of the files is governed by the licence terms stated in the relevant product listing, accompanying documentation or our Terms of Service.

Digital pattern files may not be resold, redistributed, shared, uploaded to file-sharing services or otherwise supplied to third parties unless expressly permitted by TreeHouse Patterns.

Any permission to sell finished physical items made using a pattern will be governed by the licence applicable to that individual product.
